Rebecca Ferguson has become the latest star to give her take on the whole Cheryl Cole situation.
The Liverpool mum of two was mentored by Cole on last year?s X Factor series and speaking on Daybreak this morning, admitted that she was shocked by the news yesterday that she had been axed from the American verion of the show. However, Ferguson thinks that the ?Promise This? hitmaker is strong enough to ?bounce back? from this setback and added:
I think she?s a strong girl and if it is true, she?ll get through it.
I think she?s really strong, some of the things that I?ve known that she?s been through??I think she?s got that northern character, that Geordie grit. I think she?ll bounce back.
She might sound like a close friend, but Bex did admit that since finishing in second place on last year?s series of the ITV show, she hasn?t actually been in touch with Cheryl, she added:
We haven?t kept in touch but I?m working so hard on my album and she?s obviously working really hard and I think you just lose touch sometimes.
Ferguson is currently in the process of recording her first album, after she landed a joint record deal with Simon Cowell?s Syco and Epic Records. On how she hopes that record will turn out she continued:
The album for me is just a really heartfelt album. I am writing a lot of the music, I want it to be a really powerful album for women that they can just play and feel inspired.
