Albert Square's Whitney Dean likes to fill her face after going clubbing

Shona McGarty is dating EastEnders co-star Ashley Kumar

She's taken Albert Square by storm since arriving in EastEnders three years ago.

Shona McGarty, 19, who plays troubled teen Whitney Dean, is now trailed by paparazzi wherever she goes.

'I've learnt pretty fast what they're like,' Shona tells us.

'I was out one night with friends and as we were leaving the club, a homeless guy outside was asking for food.

'I went into McDonald's, bought him a burger and gave it to him but the only pictures they printed were of me with the McDonald's.

'I do like a burger or a kebab after a night out, but I swear that was for him!

'The paps are generally chatty and friendly but you know it's only because they want an up-the-skirt photo.

'I don't mind them getting a picture - but a nice one.'

An ideal night out for Shona always ends with a bit of fast food.

'The cinema, or maybe my local club - me and my mates - then a burger or kebab to help me out the next morning,' she reveals.

'That's the one rule on any night out: always end it with some grease.'
