Oprah Winfrey: 1986
Winfrey provided her own exclusive when she stunned the audience by revealing for the first time that she had been sexually abused by a relative when she was 9 years old.
John F. Kennedy Jr.: 1996
Winfrey scored the first sit-down interview with the handsome George magazine publisher, who was having a banner year that included speaking on behalf of his uncle Sen. Ted Kennedy at the Democratic National Convention and marrying Carolyn Bessette.
Celine Dion: 1999
The Canadian singing sensation announced her informal retirement ? via Winfrey ? at the ripe old age of 31. She told the talk-show host she wanted to focus on family and building a life with Ren� Angelil, whom she had married in 1994.
Tom Cruise: 2005
The action star's antics helped introduce a new term into the vernacular: couch-jumping. Cruise was so smitten by new girlfriend Katie Holmes that he couldn't help but jump all over his good friend Winfrey's couch. As he proclaimed his love for Holmes over and over , Winfrey tried to rein him in, repeating "You're gone."
Mackenzie Phillips: 2009
The actress dropped one of the biggest bombshells in Oprah show history when she revealed for the first time that she had been involved in a sexual relationship with her father, John Phillips, for more than a decade. Phillips appeared to promote her book, High on Arrival, which detailed the incestuous relationship she had with the Mamas and the Papas singer starting when she was in her late teens.
Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket Jackson: 2010
Winfrey landed the coveted first interview with the children of pop star Michael Jackson, who died unexpectedly in June 2009. The talk-show host visited the Encino, Calif., home of Jackson's mother, Katherine, who is raising Prince Michael, 14, Paris, 13, and Blanket, 9, and asked them to share their memories of their father.
Tina Fey: April 2011
The 30 Rock creator and reigning queen of comedy let Winfrey in on a little secret when she appeared last month to promote her memoir, Bossypants: She's expecting her second child.
Maria Shriver: May 2011
Just hours after her estranged husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger, announced that he had secretly fathered a child with a member of the family's household staff, Shriver stopped by to tape a final episode of pal Winfrey's show. She spoke briefly but poignantly, thanking Winfrey for "giving me love, support, wisdom, and most of all, the truth."
