Courteney Cox and David Arquette were affectionate this week while promoting 'Scream 4.'Courteney Cox isn't just more affectionate with estranged husband David Arquette these days.
The actress, who was spotted holding hands with Arquette earlier this week, is also gushing about how much she loves him.
"Our relationship is the best it's probably been in a long time. Our communication and the way we are, just learning about each other in a different way, it's smart," Cox told "Extra."
"It's weird to be at this age and to look at ourselves," she acknowledged, "but it's hard and it's important and I'm glad we are, so... I love him."

Arquette, 39, finished a month-long rehab stay in January and has been working to repair his family ties ever since. The couple began a trial separation last year when Cox announced she wanted to reevaluate their marriage and herself.
The "Cougar Town" star, 46, is particularly pleased with Arquette's commitment to turning his life around.
"Oh, my God, I'm so proud of him!" she said, adding later that he's the "best he's ever looked!"
"He's so cute that I'm like, 'Dude, I don't understand. Really?!' " she said. "'Why are you that cute right now?'"
The couple currently are promoting "Scream 4," which opens in theaters April 15.

The pair fell in love while working on the franchise's first installment, which made working on the sequels together extra special.
"It's coming back with your family," Cox said during a press conference for the film. "You know each other, and you kind of just get right back into it and [are] better than you were last time."
