We think they went with the right Hemsworth!
So far, we're hearing nothing but good things about Chris Hemsworth and his role in Thor, but surprisingly, Chris wasn't director Kenneth Branagh's first choice for the hammer-wielding hottie. After the first round of auditions, Kenneth had a shortlist of four actors he wanted for the part. Chris was on that list - but his brother Liam Hemsworth was!
Chris laughs about it now, but he admits that he and his brother are "competitive, but in the best way." However, their rivalry didn't get in the way of Liam offering his bro some tips that helped him make a better impression when he was ultimately called back a second time.
Sounds like whatever advice he gave you was pretty sound! And it all worked out for the best, anyway. You get to play Thor in a major superhero franchise, and now he's got a part in the next tween fantasy craze!
And we get to ogle you both!!! A win-win!
