Rehearsal makes wedding 'feel very real now'
While most of London slept, a Royal Wedding rehearsal took place starting at 4:30 a.m. this morning and lasting until about 8 a.m. Clarence House tweeted this photo of it.
No, Prince William and Kate Middleton were not up at that hour going through their nuptial motions. But it was a full dress rehearsal for all the military and police groups involved and for the carriages that will carry the bridal party from the Abbey to Buckingham Palace. By all accounts, everything went off without a hitch. As one reporter for British morning show Daybreak said, "It's all starting to feel very real now."
And today it will feel especially real. According to British press reports, Kate and her sister Pippa were spotting driving from Bucklebury to London yesterday. They are in town now for final preparations, and they are expected at Westminster Abbey today for a dress rehearsal that will include Prince William.
