Rev. Al Sharpton helped new parents Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon renew their vows Sunday.Tradition didn't fall by the wayside when Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon welcomed twins in Los Angeles on Saturday.
The couple, who normally renew their vows on each wedding anniversary, originally expected to celebrate three years of marriage that day ? until their unborn, little ones had other plans.
But on Sunday, Carey, 42, and Cannon, 30, found time to formally profess their love to one another again, thanks to a little help from the Rev. Al Sharpton.
"I am just leaving Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. She had twins yesterday on their 3rd anniversary," he tweeted. "I had prayer with them and the babies."
Sharpton went on to reveal that he "also conducted the renewal of their vows and the blessing of the newborn twins."

"Mariah looks GREAT, and the babies are beautiful," he added.
"I am so moved by the sincere spiritual commitment of Mariah and Nick," Sharpton said. "They have not let success separate them from GOD. I am so proud."
And Cannon was so grateful.
"Thank you to @THEREVAL who came all the way to the hospital to renew me and my wife's vows and pray with our children," the 92.3 NOW morning show host tweeted.
"Yep we just had a wedding in the hospital!" he added.

Cannon is currently on paternity leave and, according to a rep for the station, is due back on the airwaves in less than two weeks.
The names of the newborns ? a girl weighing 5-pounds, 3-ounces, and a boy weighing 5-pounds, 6-ounces ? have not yet been revealed.
Carey and Cannon secretly wed in 2008 at the singer's private estate in the Bahamas.
