Ryan Reynolds: 'I looked like a Vietnamese girl' up until I was 18

Ryan Reynolds was a 'dead man walking' in high school because the vice principal didn't like him.

The reigning Sexiest Man Alive wasn't always such a hottie.

"Up until I was like 18, I looked like a Vietnamese girl," Ryan Reynolds said on "Conan" Thursday.

The actor, now 34, said he had such trouble with the opposite sex that he "used to accidentally fall" on a particular girl during volleyball practice in order to be close to her.

"And just a few years later, that's illegal," he marveled. "That's straight-up inappropriate."

Reynolds' school problems also included the vice principal, who "looked like an online predator who lost his computer."

The "Green Lantern" star admitted he was once suspended ? and apparently later kicked out altogether ? but never quite understood the punishment.

"As though sitting at home all day masturbating to Spanish soap operas is supposed to teach me a lesson," he quipped.
